Leon's Work

The Present

In addition to everything that has been started by Leon and the foundation in 2017, he continues to add on and stay relevant. Needs and wants are ever changing.

Covid-19

We salute Mr. McRoy Wilson who is taking care of his health. He visited the Miriam Greene Clinic today in South Andros and was excited to be able to get an ECG done from a machine donated by Leon Lundy and The Lundy Foundation. We encourage everyone to continue monitoring their health during their time.

COVID RELIEF | Leon and the Lundy Foundation sent food items to Central and South Andros, including Mangrove Cay to assist those communities during the #StayHome orders as a direct result of the COVID 19 Pandemic.

The items were distributed by local teams in the areas inclusive of: Stafford Creek, Staniard Creek, Love Hill, Small Hope Bay, Davis Creek, Calabash Bay, Fresh Creek, Andros Town, Bowen Sound, Cargill Creek, Behring Point, Mangrove Cay, and all of South Andros.

The Foundation continues to encourage everyone to remain at home if it is not necessary to leave, remember to wear your masks, and consistently wash your hands for at least 20 seconds thoroughly. Together, we will get through this.

Leon Lundy was featured on Eyewitness News and he discussed the efforts of The Lundy Foundation and The Courtyard Marriott Hotel to show appreciation to members of the armed forces during the quarantine. Packages were also delivered to nurses in South Andros, Mangrove Cay, and Central Andros.

The Environment

On Majority Rule Day, Leon and his cousin Alfred distributed food items to the seniors in the South Andros, Mangrove Cay, and Central Andros communities. The items were presented in reusable bags as part of the efforts to reduce and eliminate plastic.

Church Involvement

While most of the donations to religious organizations are done privately. One of the highlights was attending a service at Friendship Native Baptist Church in commemoration of Older Persons Month.

Leon was proud to be a part of the event and make

presentations to the oldest persons in each settlement.
